The Centre for Plants, People and Ecosystems (CPPE) is a not for profit registered trust, founded by a committed core of experts in fields such as taxonomy, biodiversity, forestry, botany, ecology, conservation, sociology, economics and public policy. CPPE is involved in documenting plant resources and uses of plants by communities in different regions of rich biodiversity, such as the Southern Western Ghats, East Coast, Eastern Ghats and Andamans. CPPE promotes research and training for just and equitable use of biodiversity. CPPE is also interested in reviving, documenting and interpreting traditional cultural art forms. |
